Gurdle
Like WaPo's Hurdle, but gooder. It's good-hurdle!
About
Gurdle is a Wordle-like game almost directly lifted from a similarly-named game found on the Washington Post's website. In the spirit of not making a direct one-to-one port, this game includes unique features not present in the original. I mostly made this game because the original somehow manages to lag, despite the fact that no Wordle-like game should even be lagging. Especially not one developed under a company as large as WaPo.
Features
- The same wordling gameplay you know and love, but with a twist. Complete five games in a row, with the previous round's answer becoming the first guess of the next round!
- Daily game randomized based off of the system's date
- Archive mode: Enter any past date to play its puzzle
- Endless mode: Keep guessing words in a non-stop gauntlet that ramps up over time
Controls
Menus are navigated via mouse, with text fields and gameplay being entirely keyboard-operated. Press Enter/Return to submit your guesses.
